Description

Brussels sprouts (Brassica oleracea var. gemmifera) are cool-weather cruciferous vegetables closely related to cabbage, broccoli, and kale. They grow as compact, edible buds (1–1.5 inches in diameter) tightly arranged along a thick, fibrous central stalk.
